Undeniably, our world is half physical and half digital now - the lid's been blown off - now we can elevate the built environment through revolutionized creativity, craft and design.
Creative Direction / Design Direction for the Verizon Power House Superbowl XLVIII in Bryant Park, New York, 2014 on behalf of Wasserman Experience for Verizon™. Verizon’s marquee Super Bowl activation in New York City’s Bryant Park was a 5-day interactive pop-up brand experience that introduced consumers to the innovative technologies and services aimed at “connecting our lives across multiple devices” - notably, for fans’ consumption of professional football. Over the 5 day activation, the 16,000 square foot Verizon Power House hosted thousands of consumers and was one of the most visible events during Super Bowl Week XLVIII.
As Freelance Creative Director for Wasserman Experience, I helped pitch, win and deliver a high profile, branded entertainment experience in a 16,000 square foot temporary space that engaged consumers with multi-platform interactive exhibits, and shifted perceptions about the span of Verizon’s footprint in technology verticals. Curating and designing an experiential marketing event on this level required a deep understanding of Verizon's brand strategies and core businesses, as well as the abilities to orchestrate and drive a highly complex project from the ground up; define and lead the creative vision internally; work directly with senior contacts at Wasserman Experience and Verizon in order to drive the project forward successfully.
A vibrant 70’ LED wall defined the facade of the temporary venue - steps from 6th Avenue - showcasing a 3d motion-graphics sizzle loop that welcomed visitors inside. Through state-of-the-art thumb-scanning technology, visitors “signed in” at digital kiosks to initiate an exciting series of interactive, customizable digital experiences - chat with virtual NFL players who recognized them by name, “Suit Up” in their favorite team uniform via augmented reality, compose a custom “selfie” mosaic of digital images from a personalized timeline of NFL history, trigger a motion activated video wall showcasing Verizon's Powerful Answers campaign, experience hands-on Verizon’s LTE Multicast, watch an immersive 270 degree video on how Verizon connects many facets of your life, and interact with Verizon’s Network Particle Visualization through Kinect technology.
