The most effective stories have a beginning, middle and end — just so the built environment can have the narrative arc of a 3 act play — from the arrival to the departure and the occupation in between.
Fashion Runway Designs for Adidas Y-3 over 4 seasons - S/S 2006, F/W 2006, S/S 2007 and F/W 2007 - that transformed the selected venues with architecturally vivid and strikingly dynamic environments for staging the new collection presentations. From a looping runway in Hunter College’s Gymnasium inspired by motorsports, to an epic mirrored ceiling over a 3 legged runway extending from a monolithic rotating bank vault door at Cipriani’s 55 Wall Street; from a “black glass” runway set against a massive broken window pane inspired by Hitchcock’s Psycho at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom, to 3 lanes of white conveyor belts running parallel to the Hudson River at Pier 40, guests were immersed in vivid theatrical spectacles for viewing the new Adidas Y-3 collections each season. The designs were developed in collaboration with OBO and Villa Eugenie.
