Uniqlo HeatTech 2011 5th Avenue Global Flagship

Client: Uniqlo / Fast Retailing
Date: November 2011
Venue: Uniqlo 5th Avenue Global Flagship Store

Uniqlo / Fast Retailing commissioned Lot71 to design a series of large scale interior installations for fall/winter 2011-2012, coinciding with the October 2011 opening of the brand’s striking new 100,000 sq ft Global Flagship Store at 666 5th Avenue - designed by the Japanese firm Wonderwall.

Our first series of installations served the Uniqlo HeatTech clothing line. We initiated the creative process by pulling visual cues from the Uniqlo brand identity, the vibrant color array of the HeatTech logo and collection, as well as the new architecture itself. Inspired by the epic glass facade at 5th Avenue, as well the vast triple-height atrium space, we sought a method to envelop the architecture with pulsing lines of color and light - as though the entirety of the space was infused by rays of sunshine and warmth evoked by the HeatTech clothing collections.
