For the Fall / Winter 2008 collection of Miss Sixty, the show would land in the realm of Woodstock and Janis Joplin. Thick furs, bright color, and accessories would embellish the graphic-prints and boots.
Contained within the tight parameters of the Bryant Park Tents, guests entered to see the black-lit illuminated runway as an abstracted rock concert poster, with groovy glowing purples, pinks and blues. The brand logo was a suspended lightbox over the model entrance. At the start of the show, the lights dimmed, as the upstage black masking doors slid open to reveal a double-height wall of grafittied, phosphorescent VW buses, suspended 3 over 2. The bottom buses moved off-stage, as the Models entered through the newly opened entry way.
Janis Joplin, Bob Masse, VW Buses, 1969.
