For the Fall 2010 Collection, we were commissioned to create a dynamic and architectural model entrance utilizing metallic and reflective surfaces that would appear to emerge from the vast white-washed cinderblock venue wall.
With the aim of creating an arrestingly theatrical model entrance, we looked to source imagery from designer/architect Olafur Eiiasson and crafted a towering, multilayered collection of kaleidoscopic chrome walls with jarringly multi-faceted panes that would create dynamic reflections, mirror images and fragmentations of light as the models passed in front. From camera, the 6 walls would appear as a singular concave fragmented mirror shell, all the while concealing 5 model entrances for the collection to emerge from and disappear back into.
