For the 5th year working as a Partner of LeBook, we were commissioned to design the annual industry event that showcases top agencies in the Fashion & Luxury Industries representing premium Photographers, Stylists, Hair & Make Up, and other supporting services. Working in a new venue this year, we aimed to refresh the brand image and create an elegant, sophisticated designed experience for our guests.
The Chelsea Art Museum fills three floors of open airy space. The first, with a slab floor and white columns, provided an elegant area to welcome guests and present the larger agencies. We created a dynamic primary entrance at the corner of the space with a transparent metal framed wall, so that from the street the branded collateral and signage would be visible to guests walking into the Event. Through a steel framed wall with 2 doors, skinned with clear acrylic, the registration wall was in direct view, welcoming guests with a large, bright, multi-colored NY 09 Connections sign. Graphic signage on the outside of the Museum paired visually with this initial element, and in tandem penetrated the space, drawing guests from the outside in. We extended the graphic treatments in visual lines through all three floors with graphic banners hung on sides of the 30 columns that extended up on all 3 floors. Amidst 30,000 sq ft of client displays, the resulting through line of color across the whole event space connected the three floors of experience.
