The Blue Room. David Hare.

Inspired by a mosaic-tile ribbon that unfurls through a Florentine hotel lobby, we designed a white translucent ribbon, back lit with color-changing fixtures to articulate the space. Evocative of the cyclical narrative and the unraveling lies and truths, the ribbon created multiple spaces, as if seen from different perspectives. We achieved dramatically differing visual appearances with minimal dressing, and jarringly stark lighting and color choices.
